First licensed as W6UKX in 1941 * Operated 10m AM phone in the late 40's * Transmitter engineer and dance band remotes for AM Radio Station KFXM (San Bernardino, CA) while in high school * Active in the Caltech Radio Club in the late 40's * Dropped out of ham radio while in graduate school * Returned in 1996 and received my old call W6UKX * Now active on 40m through 10m SSB and CW from Pasadena, CA and San Clemente, CA * Occasional portable operation on trips (see below) and at the Caltech club station, W6UE
